Microsoft - Word, Excel, etc. shortcuts - in dialog boxes that allow text entry, use the COMMAND key along with the letter.  Example - in the Save As dialog box , COMMAND-E will eject the disk.  In any dialog box pressing COMMAND-1 is the same as clicking on the first button and COMMAND-2 the second button, and so on.
